Bells from Everest
Bells from Everest$1,600.00 from Bells from Everest
Another interesting re-use product.... This Maine artist purchases used aluminum oxygen cylinders from the Sherpas of Nepal and turns them (literally, ha!) into bells and bowls. The oxygen tanks were used originally by Mount Everest climbers, and up until recently, were discarded along the journey and left on the mountain side. Not cool. Bad, Everest climbers! But now the empty tanks are given a second life as a bell and a bowl each. Very expensive, but each is hand-turned and designed by the artist, guaranteed to give you a one-of-a-kind piece. And who else on your block can say that they own a Mount Everest souvenir?
